When you say POPCORN, it is on us to deliver exactly your vision of it. It’s what we’ve been doing for 15 years now.
Founded in 2003 Tröber is primarily known for its exacting national and international castings for ad campaigns, but also has experience in soaps, telenovelas and feature films.

Berlin, a multicultural city with an intense spirit of freedom and a rugged rapidity, has a huge impact on our work.
In our office on Potsdamer Strasse with it`s 3 Studios, flexibility and spontaneity pairs with on-point organisation, which makes us responsive without losing the focus on POPCORN.

Our castings always feature light-hearted thoughts, laughter and improvisation – a few ‘What ifs…?’ Otherwise an idea will not evolve its full potential. If you choose us to find your cast, we will use our extensive pool of national and international contacts in all types of agencies and social platforms, something we have built up over the last decade. Berlin is our Base but not our Limit so there will be ideas from all over, e-castings from around the world, diverse visions and thoughts on your project – and we will cherry-pick the best ones for you.

As we work hand-in-hand with Fangfrisch and Streets – sharing our office, our coffees, our WLAN – we leave other agencies behind when it comes to realisation. Three fully equipped studios enable us to be swift and efficient.

NINA & NADINE
Owners of Tröber Casting, streets, fangfrisch

After many years of working desk-to-desk, the heads of Tröber, streets and fangfrisch are now inseparable. They have been the closest of friends since high school in Hamburg and share their taste in music, style and TV shows since forever.

After graduation, Nina studied business studies and communication studies, while Nadine started an apprenticeship in the world of export sales, before switching to become an actress. But, as things often don’t turn out the way they’re planned, and as the crazy times filled them with a desire to try something new, they moved to Berlin and started a business: TRÖBER CASTING.

As time went by, Nina and Nadine morphed into the perfect business team. Together they are heart and soul, Yin and Yang, Cagney and Lacey – they both know exactly what to do. They have developed a very uncomplicated way of casting and work quickly and straightforwardly until the desired results are on tape or online (as you say nowadays) and their clients are content. Nina and Nadine communicate accurately and aren’t distracted by too many options. “If you know where you’re heading, you eliminate potential issues and problems,” Nina says: “Staying focused is as important as staying flexible.” Their vast network helps them create top casting situations for nearly every product, TV soap or telenovela. Another good thing is that they don’t take themselves too seriously, and so, after all these years, they remain open-minded and curious. “We are always willing to think it over and start from scratch,” says Nadine. Within the last decade, Tröber has casted for many national and international clients (Link setzen zur Referenzenseite) and has helped with the on-screen realisation of countless creative ideas.

REGINA
Casting organisation, maintenance of ongoing projects and organisation of Tröber’s internal work structures

Regina is quite a talent when it comes to organisation. She seems to have more than two hands and ten fingers.

A trained management assistant who specialised in the event sector, she has a humorous way of dealing with stress, a great asset for her and a blessing for the whole team. With her warmhearted manner, she creates a little bit of that ‘welcome home’ feeling wherever she goes. As head of back office, Regina deals with all the internal processes at Tröber – from the a-to-z organisation of castings to internal working schedules. Everything goes via her desk. Her maxim: “To keep calm means to keep an overview.”

Since 2015 Regina has given us her competent input on various projects.

CENTAINE
Casting organisation, research and maintenance of ongoing projects

Working for us since 2016, Centaine has developed a wraparound professionalism. She had already worked in casting assistance for TV and movie productions before Tröber, and is well-versed in the ins and outs of the business.

Her casting organisation is flawless, and when it comes to background research, Centaine is the one to ask. Her communication is patient and direct, and she always gets her point across. Centaine has no problem with arguments and stays calm and focused in all sorts of hairy situations. She says that if you focus on the personal contact with each and every client, nothing can go wrong: “Listening means simplifying things.” Her charming demeanour helps to take the edges off situations before they even have the chance to become edgy.
